About us

Voices from around the world, singing together

The ensemble began with Valentina Oriani’s wish to bring a choir to life. She called on a few musician friends and, within the Bocconi University community, sought out people from all over the world who wanted to sing. The result is a deeply intercultural ensemble — voices from Ireland, the United States, Estonia, Turkey and Italy — held together by the wish to sing together, something close to a missionary impulse towards beauty.

Our repertoire spans five centuries — from the villancicos of the Spanish Renaissance, such as Juan del Encina’s ¿A quién debo yo llamar? and the anonymous Verbum caro factum est, to the chorale O Jesulein süß in Bach’s harmonisation, and on to traditional songs from Ireland (Suantraí), Catalonia (Sant Josep i la Mare de Déu) and Bohemia (Rocking), and Alfred Burt’s American carols.
